Our regulations ensure we are adopting best practice in relation to examination and
assessment principles and processes, and that we are treating all students with equity and parity.
The process of assessment starts with the Base-Line Test (BLT), which is held at the beginning of the
academic year, and is used to set the targets for each subject. This test is based on the skills required
in the current grade.
FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Formative assessment is interwoven with the daily learning and helps teachers and
children to find out what the children already know in order to plan the next stage of learning.
Formative assessment and teaching are directly linked, neither can function effectively nor
purposefully without the other.
SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Summative assessment takes place at the end of the teaching and
learning processes and gives the children opportunities to demonstrate what
they have learned. Summative assessments may include any of or any combination of,
the following: acquisition of data, synthesis of information, application of
knowledge and processes..
Results of formative tests are shared with students on an ongoing basis while
term end results containing both formative and summative assessments is shared
by way of formal report cards during the Open House at the end
of Term I and Term II.
EXAMINATION
The academic year is divided in three terms. For class I and above monthly
tests and three terminal examinations are conducted. Apart from these, unit tests are
conducted every day. Parents are informed about the progress of the pupils periodically.
Extra coaching is made available for slow achievers. Week-end and vacation assignments are
given in all subjects besides the assignment at the end of every day.
BOARD EXAMINATION
We proudly do provide the following with special and personal coaching are imparted
to improving their imaginary and scientific aptitude. Continuous and consistent assessments
are designed for each student giving us invaluable data to build up on their strengths and
reduce their weakness. We emphasize extra care for creative and gifted children. We do prepare
students for all type of national level entrance tests.
PARENT TEACHER MEET
The School firmly believes that parents and teachers are the main builders
and backbone of the institution. A record of the child’s performance is maintained .
Teachers observe, monitor and document the progress of each student on an on-going basis
and communicate the same to parents regularly, in addition to the end-of-term report,.
Parents can meet the teachers everyday in the evening after 4.15 p. m. Suggestions and
opinions of parents are given due importance and necessary steps are taken forth with.
